Everyone is in their seats and all set for the ride. It's going to be a long one today.
Did you remember to bring the super-hero? Got it.
Keep your eyes on the road, mister.
A lovely day for a drive - lots of sun and look at those clouds!
Where's Waldo? A good question to answer over the course of this trip.
Keep your fingers crossed that this taco sleeps the whole time. Or else, I'm in for it.
Are we there yet?
I-5 South all day.
These Waldo books are all the rage.
Lots of time to just look out my window.
We stopped for lunch in Salem, Or. In all my excitement, I took this picture upside down!
We found a little cafe downtown and everyone was ready to eat.
N challenged me to Connect 4.
Turns out he's not too shabby.
Connect 4! I win!
This mighty mighty meatball loves to pull the straws out of our cups and spray water over the place.
And red straws are his favorite.
After lunch, we walked over to the carousel at Riverfront Park.
This horse outside was just the warm up.
Inside are some of the most beautiful and ornate horses I've seen. N contemplates which one he'll ride, while wiggling his newly loose tooth.
S has her eye on that black beauty with the blue and purple saddle.
Even F got a turn on this little pony. N is behind him in the old fashioned wagon, which he's been fascinated with. Anything to do with cowboys, western-themed or horses is up his ally!
Everyone hang on tight - here we go!
S's horse was quite a sight. And the biggest one on the carousel!
Wheee!
Outside we all ran around a bit and got our sillies out.
Even the meatball got to have some fun.
Speaking of silly, these two are pretty nuts.
Look at those teeth! 4 up top and 2 on the bottom.
N took the dog for a walk. And a run.
S did some treasure hunting for leaves, flowers and acorns.
She still hasn't found a flower fairy, but she keeps on looking!
Whew, I can't keep up with these two.
Back to the car for the next leg of the journey.
A few more hours of driving, but with a view like this, I can't complain.
Another stop in Roseburg, Or. S was quick to find some flowers to pick for her papa.
N & P explored the new terrain.
S discovered a wheat field, which was fun.
Run! Run!
It was almost too tall for N, but he could be a real adventurer out there in the weeds.
Even P got to stretch her legs a bit.
Poor meatball, however, did not.
On the other side of the path was a little creek and some woods.
And the perfect climbing tree.
It was even built for two.
Everyone wanted to see what was around the next bend.
Certainly there were more treasures to behold.
And more running to be done.
Onward says our fearless leader!
A bend in the creek.
Perfect for throwing stones and taking a break.
Let's go!
Back in the car for sunset. Tomorrow we should make it to CA!
How fun! Have missed not having updates of your trip. Love you all, MamMam
