An evening at UWT

After a rather low key day, we hopped over to campus to go for an afternoon walk and to attend an evening reception at UWT.

The whole gang was in attendance, of course.
We stopped on the bridge of glass to hear some live jazz - N and S are always excited to put some money in a busker's "cage" as they call it!

Tollefson plaza was just beautiful.  Look at those blooming trees!
Up the stairs.  Down the stairs.  Up the stairs.  Down the stairs.  It's more fun than you might imagine.
S was coveting the trees and those delicious white flowers, but couldn't reach the bottom branch.  A security guard walked by, broke off a stem and handed it to her.  She almost exploded with excitement.
N decided to build elaborate cities for the trail of ants that he found.
Complete with sky scrapers and traffic patterns.
Finally, we all went to see Dawoud Bey speak about his photo portrait project in Tacoma.  And, can you guess which caped crusader was asked to sit for a portrait done by Mr. Bey next week?  The taco-in-question will be unveiled on Wed... after his session!
